Help Center/Check-ins & Alerts/Check-In Responses Explained

    CHECK-IN RESPONSES EXPLAINED

What Lima Charlie, Send Traffic, and Mayday mean.

We use military comms terminology because it means something to veterans.

    Lima Charlie

"Loud and Clear" — You're good. Life's not perfect, but you're handling it. This is the standard "I'm here" response.

    Send Traffic

"I have something to communicate" — You could use a check-in from a buddy. Not a crisis, but you'd appreciate someone reaching out. Maybe you're having a rough week, feeling isolated, or just want to talk.

    Mayday

"I need help" — This is the signal that you need support now. Your unit leaders will be notified immediately. This is NOT a replacement for 911 or the Veterans Crisis Line (988), but it tells your people you need them.

    No Response

If you don't check in, your unit notices. That's the point—accountability means someone's watching your six.
