Radio Check

Radio Check is operated by Last 1 Enterprises ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Radio Check mobile application and SMS service (collectively, the "Service").

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Information you provide:

• Phone number (required for SMS check-ins)
• Display name and callsign (when creating an app account)
• Email address (optional, used for organization admin verification)
• Military branch and service information (optional)
• Check-in responses (your replies to Radio Check text messages)
• Messages you send through the Service

Information collected automatically:

• Device information and push notification tokens (app users only)
• Check-in timestamps and response patterns
• SMS delivery status and metadata

Information we do NOT collect:

• Location data
• Contacts or address book
• Photos, files, or media
• Browsing history
• Biometric data

2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use your information to:

• Send scheduled check-in text messages at your chosen frequency
• Display your check-in status to your squad or organization
• Detect periods of silence and alert designated contacts
• Enable organization administrators to monitor member wellness
• Send push notifications related to check-ins (app users only)
• Improve and maintain the Service

We do NOT use your information to:

• Sell or share data with third-party advertisers
• Send marketing messages
• Build advertising profiles
• Train AI models on your personal data

3. SMS MESSAGING

When you are added to Radio Check by an organization or join through the app:

• You will receive periodic check-in text messages at a frequency you choose (weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annually)
• Message frequency varies based on your selected cadence
• Message and data rates may apply
• You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message
• You can opt back in by replying JOIN
• For help, reply HELP or contact us

4. INFORMATION SHARING

We share your check-in responses with:

• Your squad members (if you join a unit through the app) — they can see your check-in status (good, quiet, or dark) but NOT the content of your messages
• Your organization administrator — they can see your check-in status, response history, and any messages you send through the Service
• Emergency escalation contacts — if you indicate you need support (reply "2" or "need help"), designated organization staff will be notified

We do NOT share your information with:

• Third-party advertisers or data brokers
• Other organizations you are not a member of
• Any party for marketing purposes
• Law enforcement, except as required by law

5. DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY

• Your data is stored on encrypted infrastructure with encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest
• We use Twilio for SMS delivery, subject to Twilio's privacy practices (twilio.com/legal/privacy)
• We implement row-level security to ensure users can only access data they are authorized to see
• We retain check-in data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service

6. YOUR RIGHTS

You have the right to:

• Opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP
• Request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us
• Access the check-in data we have about you by contacting us
• Correct inaccurate information in your profile through the app

7. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Radio Check is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18.

8. SMS PRIVACY DISCLOSURE

When you enter your phone number and request a verification code, RadioCheck collects and uses your phone number to deliver one-time passcode (OTP) messages for authentication and account security.

• We use your phone number only for authentication/security messaging you request.
• We do not sell your phone number.
• We do not share your phone number with third parties for their marketing.
• We may use service providers (e.g., telecom/SMS delivery vendors) strictly to deliver requested OTP messages.
• SMS records may be retained for fraud prevention, security, and compliance purposes.
• To stop SMS messages, reply STOP. For assistance, reply HELP or contact support@radiocheck.app.

9. SMS COMMUNICATIONS

Radio Check sends SMS text messages to users who have opted in through our website opt-in form (radiocheck.app/optin) or through the Radio Check mobile app. Message frequency depends on the user's selected check-in cadence (weekly, monthly, quarterly, or yearly). Message and data rates may apply.

Mobile information (phone numbers) collected by Radio Check will NOT be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile opt-in data and consent is not shared with any third parties.

Users can opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to any message. For assistance, reply HELP or contact radiocheck.app/support.

10. CONTACTS AND CONTACT MATCHING

Radio Check lets you optionally find people from your phone Contacts who are already using the app.

When you choose Find Contacts on Radio Check, we ask for your explicit consent before any upload occurs. If you tap Not Now, no Contacts data is uploaded for matching.

If you consent, Radio Check accesses contact phone numbers on your device and securely sends normalized phone numbers to our server for one-time matching against existing verified Radio Check accounts.

We use this matching result only to show which contacts can be invited to your squad. We do not upload names, notes, or full contact cards for storage as an address book, and we do not sell Contacts data.

You can revoke Contacts permission at any time in iOS Settings for Radio Check.

11. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
